Vincent & Frankenweenie
Переглядів 519 тис.12 років тому
Being the Tim Burton fan that I am, I thought i would share some of his earlier(really early) films. The first film is Vincent, narrated by Vincent Price himself, which is Mr. Burtons idol. The second film is Frankenweenie, which is in the middle of production of being a full budget stop motion animated film....CAN'T WAIT!!! new movie - www.imdb.com/title/tt1142977/

This short live action movie is too damn perfect to compare to the longer but still mediocre animated remake that has very little emotions in it which kinda defeats the whole plot unlike this masterpiece here!!!! This is literally like a live movie that already looks completely animated or comicbook-like especially with the amazing sets & visuals & just how simple it all works together in such a short film!!!! Honestly this would be alot of ppls favorite movie of all time if this was the full length feature & the animated one was the actual short film!!!!! This is by far Tim Burtons real "masterpiece" regardless if its just a short film that he made before he got famous this is still the first & best of all his films regardless of what anyone else says!!!! The cinematography & lighting & music & editing & set designs are 100/100 perfection!!!!! They must have been crazy to not make this into a live full length film , it looks way too good to just be a short film & also Sparkys make up (his patches & stitches) in this film is better than anything ive seen on a live animal in any other movie ever made!!!! This might be a short Disney film & not a full length mainstream blockbuster but its still a masterpiece of film making & still my favorite film to ever be released by Disney regardless ❤ The acting is also perfect too by everyone especially the Bull Terrier that plays as Sparky , he definitely deserves a supporting Oscar for this role !!!! 10/10 masterpiece ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Not the hugest Tim Burton fan but out of all his films its definitely in this order : 1# Frankenweenie (1984 live action short film version) 2# Mars Attacks 3# Sweeney Todd 4# Sleepy Hollow 5# Frankenweenie (animated long version remake) 6# Dark Shadows 7# Batman 8# Corpse Bride 9# A Nightmare before Christmas 10# Vincent (animated short film) The rest of his work i really don't care for much im sorry !!!!! Ok im lying cuz Edward Sizzorhands & Beetlejuice & James & The Giant Peach are also ok movies i guess but thats literally about it as far as his films that i actually enjoy!!!!!!

30 years old and still best. the characters were great, the animation were smooth, the songs are genuine, and mostly, the effects were Amazing. They worked really hard and great. They took time slow, they take notes before released, the figures were adorable (boogie was too much a coward wimp to be scary.), but one problem is that the movie ends. But I don't rush them. even the minor/other bg characters are also amazing! Every holiday doesn't matter, this movie matters. Period.

30 years old and as timeless as ever It's from the mind of Tim Burton but director Henry Selick is the one to thank for this gem of a holiday flick despite it being only 76 minutes long Jack Skellington embodies a preoccupation common in Burton's work over the years; the terrifying notion of being misunderstood That's something a lot of us can relate to indeed, at times we can be carried away with something new going way overboard with enthusiasm Halloween is special but we're reminded too why Christmas is just as beloved This works immensely thanks to its original storytelling, stellar animation, excellent set and character designs, clever camera angles, memorable songs, a slick villain, and a very good message of not messing with another holiday learning to cope with what we have Danny Elfman's score is unforgettable as well Truth be told the movie made even the executives who worked on it very nervous The dialogue is very basic and it's not that deep as far as character complexity Yet this still worked regardless inspiring all kinds of merchandise from holiday decor to clothing for Hot Topic to video games to board games to housewares to theme park attractions etc. It made over $50 million and winning critics and audiences alike being a perennial favorite for Halloween lovers as well as a hot item for costumes, cosplayers, and conventions 'Nightmare Before Christmas' remains astonishingly imaginative, brisk, beautifully told in its storytelling, and operates as a simplistic fairytale being very accessible to everyone serving as a cautionary fable

That's why, when it originally released in 93, that Disney released it under Touchstone Pictures, because it was deemed too scary. Disney realized how much money they could make with it, and decided to finally release it under Disney, for the special edition DVD, back years ago, which is where this documentary comes from.
